Beginner Cattleman

The LSU AgCenter is excited to announce its new Beginner Cattleman Program. This is designed for cattleman with 10 years or less of experience raising beef cattle and for people interested in starting to raise beef cattle.

Participants will need access to a computer and internet as this is a hybrid course featuring online videos and 5 in-person workshops. There will also be an optional tour for an additional fee at the conclusion of the program in Spring 2022.

When registering, participants will select to attend the course at either the Hill Farm Research Station in Homer or at the Dean Lee Research Station in Alexandria. The final two classes will be combined and at one of these locations. Please see the attached flyer for workshop dates and locations.

The cost of registration is $250. Registration form and fees are due to Ashley Edwards by April 16th. You may complete the attached registration form and mail it with your fee to the following address:
