Turfgrass – Sod Production in Alabama, J.J. Cain, et al., 10/2003, Auburn University bull. 653 is a study of Alabama’s sod industry and its marketing. Survey results show how they overall produce and market their sod but do not speak to an individual grower’s inputs and costs.

Sod Production in the Southern United States, L.B. McCarty, et al., 5/1999, Clemson University, EC 702 is a production manual with a section on costs and returns. This is also set up as generalized overviews of small, medium and large farms but does not speak to an individual grower’s inputs and costs.
