Awards & Recognition

There are several formal awards recognizing volunteers for their contributions to Louisiana 4-H. For full details on each award and to request applications contact your parish 4-H agent.

Salute to Excellence Award (Applications Available in January)

The National 4-H Salute to Excellence Volunteer Recognition Award recognizes 4-H volunteers who demonstrate exemplary service to the 4-H program. Each region will have one Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer and Volunteer of the Year. The eight regional honorees become nominees for the national award, and one candidate in each category will be named the National Honoree. National 4-H Hall of Fame (Applications available in February)

Each year 4-H faculty at all levels work together to select and nominate the most deserving candidate to the National 4-H Hall of Fame. Please read about our 2022 National 4-H Hall of Fame Inductee, Dr. Saralene B. Seals, of Louisiana.
