Sheri Patout has served the 4-H program (1970-2013) as a member, organizational and activity leader, chaperone, advisory and foundation board member, advocate and donor. As founder of the Iberia Parish 4-H Science, Engineering and Technology club, she develops and teaches monthly lessons that strive to make learning fun. She helps host an annual wetlands effort that includes pond cleanup and marsh grass planting. Sheri has established annual traditions in the Loreauville Club such as “Why I Love 4-H” essay contest and a tractor-safety drawing contest. Each year she hosts a 4-H field day for members to celebrate their successes through games and activities while learning about their Cajun heritage, coastal conservation, wildlife habitat, agricultural commodities, and farm and home safety.
