Delos Jones worked as a 4-H agent in Tangipahoa Parish from 1947-1983 when he retired. He conducted many 4-H horiticulture contests and trained delegates for Short Course. He also trained 4-H agents like Edgar Boone, who went on to become the director of extension in North Carolina. He is still an active gardener.
