Anne Chauvin

Anne Chauvin has been a leader in Lafayette Parish for more than 18 years and volunteers about 200 hours annually to the Lafayette Parish 4-H program. She has served her parish as an organizational leader, record book workshop instructor, curriculum coordinator, Advisory Committee charter member and subcommittee chair, and volunteer development task force member. Ms. Chauvin has served as secretary/treasurer of the Lafayette Parish 4-H Foundation. She currently serves as the parish 4-H foundation bookkeeper and mentors treasurers of the livestock and horse clubs. She conducts the annual inventory of project books and organizes and packages project books for distribution to 4-H members. Ms. Chauvin developed an original scoring scale to help evaluate 4-H members’ project work. Each year, Ms. Chauvin tabulates points for the parish Outstanding Club Awards. She also is coordinator of the annual 4-H Dog and Pet Shows. Anne Chauvin shares her talents and skills in planning and conducting volunteer and teen leader training programs.
