The Louisiana 4-H Youth Wetlands Education and Outreach Program engages Louisiana youth in the fight against wetland loss. A wetlands-related curriculum, virtual library, and program opportunities are provided to educators and youth.

Our goal is for youth to understand the critical importance of inland and coastal wetland habitats and the need to prevent further losses through an organized educational program of outreach, empowerment and advocacy.

The Louisiana 4-H Youth Wetlands Education and Outreach Program offers:

  • Educator Resources - The Youth Wetlands Program Virtual Library offers lessons aligned to current science standards, non-formal education activities, and the resource check-out library.
  • Educational Experiences - Through opportunities such as field trips, place-based lessons, camps, and environmental leadership, youth apply what they are learning about wetlands in an engaging setting.
