State 4-H Service-Learning Records Competition Results

The State 4-H Service-Learning Record Book Contest took place in Baton Rouge in July 2012. The contest was open to any parishes or 4-H clubs that completed a service-learning project this past year. The state 4-H Records Judging Program recognizes high-quality service-learning programs that include all the steps of the service-learning cycle: needs assessment, community involvement, preparation and planning, meaningful service, evaluation, celebration, youth voice, and reflection.

The top state Service-Learning Records Competition awards were given to the following:
2012 Service-Learning Group Award

1st ($100) – Vermilion Parish 4-H Junior Club
2nd ($75) –  St. Charles Parish 4-H Junior Club
3rd ($50) – Vernon Parish Teen Leaders Club

Blue Ribbons

Acadia Lucky Clovers 4-H Club
Rapides Teen Leaders Club
Acadia Redemptorist Catholic 4-H Club
