4-H Day at the Capitol

Louisiana 4-H Day at the Capitol is an annual event at the Louisiana State Capitol to recognize and celebrate the impact 4-H has on the youth of the state.  A day where the Louisiana 4-H family converges upon the State Capitol Building in Baton Rouge to promote Louisiana 4-H, to show our love and support for the organization, and to thank our legislators for their continued support to Louisiana 4-H.   

Objectives

  • To engage youth from across the state in the legislative process.  
  • To promote and interpret the 4-H Program to key legislative and community stakeholders. 

Outcomes/indicators

  • Increased interest in civic education programming opportunities. 
  • Increase engagement in civic education.
