The Character Development Program utilizes the principles of positive youth development to foster the growth of core values which nurture ethical, social-emotional, life skills, and academic development in youth and communities.Social emotional learning is the process by which individuals acquire the abilities to accomplish goals and become responsible citizens.Character education is the component of social emotional learning that promotes core virtues, ethical reasoning, and personal growth aspirations.

  • Stand Strong Curriculum - Consists of three units that allow participants to become more aware of the forms of bullying. It provides strategies for managing anger, resolving conflicts, and forming healthy relationships. The curriculum is designed to empower youth to become advocates while creating a sense of belonging and convincing others to stand up to bullying.
