Executive Board Objectives

To provide high quality leadership development opportunities for youth on parish, regional, and state levels. Serve as an ambassador to promote the Louisiana 4-H Youth Development Program. Increase the leadership life skills of board and their level of servant leadership.

Executive Board 4-H U Election Overview

Each year at 4-H University, voting delegates from all 64 parishes participate in Voting Delegate Assemblies to meet the candidates and elect the next Louisiana 4-H Executive Board.

Candidates must submit a Leadership Board Application and Officer Candidates participate in an in-person interview before advancing to 4-H University elections. The recording below was designed to help both candidates and agents better understand the election process at 4-H University.

Whether you're a first-time candidate or supporting one, this session will walk you through what to expect during voting delegate assemblies—from what to wear, speech time limits, to understanding the timeline for each session. Our goal is to help youth feel confident, prepared, and ready to focus on their campaign during 4-H U.
