Interested in Leadership opportunities?
The Louisiana 4-H Leadership Board application process will open in March and close May 1, 2026. Applicants must be enrolled in 9th to 12th grade during the 2026-2027 school year. Each parish is allowed to have three (3) applicants per ambassador and board. Each applicant is only allowed to apply for two (2) boards but may only serve on one State Leadership Board. Youth selected to serve on a state leadership board may also serve as an Equine or Livestock Ambassador but not a Wetland Ambassador. Shooting Sports Ambassadors is considered a State Leadership Board. Applications are due by 11:30 pm on May 1, 2026. Late applications will not be accepted. Applications must be initiated by the 4-H Parish Agent within 4-HOnline system.

Shooting Sports BoardServe as spokespersons for the 4-H Shooting Sports program at the parish, regional, state, and national levels.
Empower members with the tools and opportunities needed to explore, create and gain valuable experience in the fields of Science, Engineering and Technology.
Equine AmbassadorsThis program provides opportunities for 4-H Youth to be empowered with knowledge of the Equine industry in order to serve as strong advocated.
Livestock AmbassadorsA statewide leadership opportunity for 4-H members that provides an opportunity to build and apply leadership and professional skills.
Wetland AmbassadorsThis program inspires youth to become leaders for wetland related issues in their community by promoting wetland literacy.
