Junior Leadership Conference

The Junior Leadership Conference (JLC) is a two-night camp experience in March at Camp Grant Walker designed for high school students who are ready to take their leadership skills to the next level. Open to youth ages 14 and older (grades 8–12), this high-energy conference is planned by teens, for teens—led by the Louisiana 4-H Executive Board.

What to Expect

At JLC, participants participate in four unique learning tracks, each designed to build practical skills they can use in their schools, clubs, communities, and in life. Through interactive sessions, games, and team challenges, teens will explore new ways to lead, serve, and inspire. Don't forget about Color Wars where all of our delegates are assigned to teams and some go all out when it comes to dressing in color!

Conference Highlights:

  • Teen-Led Learning – Executive Board members facilitate all sessions, offering fresh ideas and relatable leadership strategies.
  • Four Specialized Tracks – Participants dive deep into topics that match their passions and leadership goals with hands-on workshops.
  • Networking with Leaders from Across Louisiana – Build friendships, share ideas, and get inspired by other 4-H’ers who are making a difference.
