The LSU AgCenter’s AgMagic Cenla is an interactive, visually stimulating, educational experience for young children and their families. Kids will learn about the important connections among agriculture, the environment and their lives.
The LSU AgCenter would like to invite 3rd and 4th grade classes to attend and experience the 2024 AgMagic Cenla! We are very excited about offering this program to your students this year. Students attending the event will participate in seven interactive stations where they will learn more about the wide world of agriculture. The seven educational stations include 4-H, Nutrition and Community Health, Agronomy, Livestock, Forestry, Louisiana Environments, and Drones.
Please indicate the number of ticket sets you need (sets are available in multiples of 5). Please round up when requesting your ticket sets. For example, with a class of 30, you would request 6 sets of tickets. Likewise, with a class of 25, you would request 5 sets of tickets. Teachers and chaperones do not need to be included in this number. A maximum of 50 youth will be accepted for each educational session slot.
Overall, the educational sessions begin at 8:30 AM each morning and end at 2:45 PM. Each educational rotation runs for 2 hours and 15 minutes. For example, if you register for the 8:30 time slot, the students will be involved with educational sessions until 10:45 AM.
Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early to check in and allow your students time to visit the restroom facilities. We will have space available for your students to enjoy a snack or each lunch. Note: we will have limited food and drinks available for purchase at the event. For a large class, it is recommended you bring food and drink items with you to conserve time.
