The Louisiana 4-H Foundation provides financial support to Louisiana 4-H through the contributions of donors and fund raising activities.
The Foundation provides funding in seven areas. Please donate to the areas that are dear to your heart. Your endowed and non-endowed contributions will touch the youth of today and tomorrow.
Program materials, supplies and activity equipment; sponsorships of youth; transportation cost.
Training materials for schools, sports ethics, communities, workplace ethics, formation of community coalitions, awards and incentives.
Project books, volunteer leader materials, brochures, club meeting materials, lesson plan guides, other educational materials.
|Educational Programs Activities and Awards||Educational trips for short course competition winners and youth representing Louisiana in national 4-H functions, Challenge camp, Clothing camp, Citizenship Louisiana focus, Marsh maneuvers, Sci-tech program, others as appropriate.|
|General Funds||General funds are among the most important Foundation funds and support activities that do not have funds dedicated to them. They are also used when the cost of an activity is more than the interest earned from dedicated funds.|
|Scholarships||Monetary awards for high school seniors.|
|Volunteer Leader Development||
Recruitment, training and development of parish and state-level volunteers, volunteer recognition – awards and incentives.
|Camp Grant Walker||
The size of the camp facility has nearly doubled over the past several years and facilities are in constant need of updating and expansion. Our most pressing current needs include the addition of cabin restrooms and creation of more opportunities for 4-H campers, ongoing, such as horseback riding and sport fishing.
Grow the Clover
Grow the Clover is the annual campaign designed to encourage participation of the 4-H family in supporting the initiatives of Louisiana Campaign for 4-H Fund. This non-endowed annual campaign provides general support to address the Foundation's most pressing needs. Grow the Clover helps in many ways, such as to fund educational trips, sponsor statewide youth competitions, provide awards, provide administrative and programmatic support, and much more. Contributors to this program are recognized as sustaining "Champions" of the 4-H Foundation and qualify for gift club membership recognition.
