Find Certified Professionals

LaHouse Resource Center offers a variety of educational opportunities for housing professionals to help them produce homes that meet high performance standards and offer owners the benefits they seek. Attendees receive Certificates of Attendance that indicate their interest and initiative in learning.

Among them are four certification or designation programs that include training and tests to measure and demonstrate a required level of mastery to earn the credential. These include:

EPA Certified Lead-Safe Renovator - Find certified contractors at the EPA's website to do repair, renovation or painting on a pre-1978 home - to protect yourself and family from lead poisoning.
Duct and Envelope Testing (DET) Verifier (Southface certified) - Check our DET and HVAC certified verifiers page to find certified verifiers trained by LaHouse instructors for the 2009 energy code building tightness and duct leakage requirements. They can properly conduct blower door and duct leakage measurements and measure.
HVAC for Home Performance (includes Southface DET certification) - Check our DET and HVAC certified verifiers page to find professionals who completed the 3-day LaHouse HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) course and achieved DET Verifier certification.
Gulf Region High Performance (GRHP) Home Professional - The GRHP designation was developed to recognize and identify professionals who completed a core educational program online and passed a test to verify knowledge of Best Building Practices for the Gulf Region and Wind Resistant Construction. (The online training system is no longer available.) Find professionals who had earned this designation below.
