At LaHouse, our mission is to empower Louisiana homeowners, builders, and communities with the knowledge and resources needed to create stronger, safer, and more sustainable homes. As part of the LSU AgCenter, our research and outreach efforts focus on improving home resilience against hurricanes, flooding, and other natural disasters, while also promoting energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and long-term affordability.

Through hands-on demonstrations, expert guidance, and real-world research, we provide practical solutions that help homeowners make informed decisions. From promoting FORTIFIED construction techniques to offering strategies for reducing flood risk, our work is dedicated to building a more resilient Louisiana.
