The Rebuilding Information Station was a temporary office housing rebuilding educators from LSU AgCenter and UNO-CHART, with support from the state's Road Home program. It was a place to obtain information and guidance that would help you with:

  • Building or restoring a home so it will be safer, stronger and more energy-efficient
  • Understanding home elevation methods
  • Using the Rebuilding Registry to contact or rate contractors
  • Preparing financially for your rebuilding or restoration project
  • Understanding the construction process, building codes and permitting requirements
  • Managing a rebuilding project and avoiding contractor fraud
  • Weighing the pros and cons of innovative materials and technologies
