Pier Houses

Raised houses can be some of the easiest to protect against subterranean termites. To infest a raised structure, the termites must travel up or through the piers or any other objects connecting the building with the ground. As long as the underside of the structure is accessible for inspection, termite infestations may be detected. Use the following pages to learn how to inspect a raised structure for the presence of subterranean termites along with common problem areas.
