Are you looking for information on insect repellents? When looking for repellents, it is generally a good rule of thumb to do the following:


  • Choose a repellent that offers the type and length of protection you are looking for.
  • Choose a repellent with an EPA registration number.
When EPA registers a repellent, they evaluate the product's efficacy and potential effects on humans and the environment. When selecting products that are NOT EPA-registered, realize that they have NOT been evaluated for efficacy or for their effects on humans and the environmentt.

  • Apply the repellent according to label directions.
