
Upon receiving certification, producers must complete six hours of Continuing Education Credits (CECs) each calendar year to maintain their certified status. Each event typically provides approximately three hours of credit, unless it is an extended, all-day, or multi-day event. These credits must be submitted to the Louisiana Master Farmer Program Coordinator by December 31st annually.
After the five-year certification period ends, producers have the option to re-certify. This requires updating their farm's RMS level conservation plan through the USDA NRCS local office. Certified Master Farmers interested in re-certification should contact their local USDA NRCS field office to request an updated RMS plan.
