In 1949, the LSU AgCenter Sweet Potato Research Station was established near Chase. This station is responsible for developing sweet potato varieties that have helped keep producers viable and sustainable, not only in Louisiana, but globally as well. This video highlights some of the recent developments and research regarding sweet potato production.
The LSU AgCenter Sweet Potato Research Station is celebrating its 75th anniversary, and the many accomplishments at the station that has improved the sweet potato industry. LSU AgCenter correspondent Craig Gautreaux has this report from northeast Louisiana.
