Bioenergy: A Focus on Louisiana

In conjunction with National Bioenergy Day, the LSU AgCenter will hold a bioenergy conference on Oct. 21.

The conference will highlight LSU AgCenter programs, as well as local and state programs related to bioenergy and bioproducts. It will be held in Efferson Hall, Room 214, on the LSU campus.
Cost is $25 per person and includes lunch. There is no charge for students (student registration is limited to 20). Non-student registration is limited to 60. The conference agenda includes experts in the bioenergy field, including keynote speakers Dr. Charles Reith from the American University of Nigeria, who will speak on Biomass Energy: Promises and Pitfalls, and Dr. Dan Len, regional biomass coordinator for the U.S. Forest Service southern region, who will speak on  Woody Biomass Supply and Demand for Bioenergy in the U.S. South.

The LSU Center for Energy Studies is hosting Energy Summit 2015 Disruptive and Game-Changing Energy Trends: Implications for Louisiana, also on Oct. 21. This summit is for people who already have a solid background in the energy industry.
