Welcome to the LSU AgCenter's Annie’s Project!
Annie’s Project is an educational program dedicated to strengthening women’s roles in modern farm and ranch enterprises. It creates a learning environment where participants build and enhance problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Is this program right for me? Annie’s Project is a program dedicated to women with a passion for business and involvement in agricultural activities and the agribusiness industry. Past attendees were women farmers and ranchers, extension agents, tourism agents, industry partners, USDA employees, Farm Bureau employees and NRCS agents, among others.
What will I learn? There are two basic curricular: Annie’s Project Level I (Farm Business Management) and Annie’s II (Managing for Today and Tomorrow). Classes are designed to cater to the needs of the workshop participants, encouraging discussion and interactive learning as well as promoting network opportunities
What do participants say?
“The class provided an excellent opportunity to meet and develop a network of like-minded and entrepreneurial women and increase our knowledge of the financial areas that will enable our agricultural related enterprises to be successful.”
“Annie’s taught me how important it is to have short and long term goals/planning in all the aspects of running a farm”
“Annie's Project has been so helpful! Whether trying to start a farming business, expand, or just learn more about the world of agriculture, this class is a perfect stepping stone for that! The connections I have made through this class are invaluable!”
