A dehumidifier removes moisture from the air like an AC except, it does not cool the air. Reducing the moisture in the air can help reduce any dust or allergy triggers and prevent mold and mildew.
A whole house dehumidifier also offers humidity removal when cooling is not needed.
A benefit of a dehumidifier is that it can assist with the cleanup of water leakage and flooding by absorbing the extra water and moisture, quickening the drying process.
The whole house dehumidifier only removes the moisture from the air inside.
A humidistat is like a thermostat, but it monitors the humidity level in the air.
The damper is built into the unit.
