When mixed and applied correctly, most architectural glues will form a water-resistant seal. Our driveway pavers and grout bed are porous, allowing water to infiltrate the driveway and drain into the ground. A driveway that pools water can be very problematic because it can cause voids to form in the driveway, which leads to damage and cracking.
Permeable driveways reduce stormwater run-off and decrease flooding risk as they allow water to seep into the concrete, but they are prone to clogging. Maintaining them through regular cleaning ensures your home is still protected and has a reduced flood risk.
