National 4-H Week

Join 4-H'ers around the country in celebrating National 4-H Week during the week of Oct. 5-11, 2025. The school week kicks off on Monday, October 6th with National Go Green Day! Schools and clubs are encouraged to celebrate the beginning of National 4-H Week on this day! This week is set aside by the Cooperative Extension Service and 4-H Clubs in each state to focus attention on the value of 4-H.Through their 4-H clubs, they have fun, make friends, explore new adventures, and develop skills for future success! Louisiana engages more than 113,000 youth in areas including agriculture, STEM, healthy living, leadership and the environment! Lafourche Parish has approximately 900 members in 35 school 4-H clubs. Observed since 1927, National 4-H Week has been a time for 4-H members and their volunteer leaders to celebrate all that is wonderful in 4-H! To celebrate the week, we are sponsoring a Show Your 4-H Pride Contest. We would like each club to create a display to put outside in front of your school. The theme is Beyond Ready. Some of the things the judges will look for are creativity, involvement of the 4-H’ers, appeal, and originality. We want the community to see them, so be creative! We will award First Place and Honorable Mention for each division (Elementary, Middle, Senior, and K-12).Judging begins on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.More details will be sent to leaders.
