Unsolicited Seeds

Some Louisiana residents are reporting that they have received unsolicited seed packages originating mostly from China. The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry is asking that anyone who receives unsolicited seeds to call their office at 225-925-4733 or ship the seeds to the State Plant Health Director’s office in Baton Rouge. Do not plant the seeds or throw them away.

If mailing the seeds to the State Plant Health Director's office, please make sure to securely package seeds in a zip top bag and then place them in a shipping envelope to avoid any spills.
