4-H and JAG students at Griffin Middle Academy presented innovative business ideas to judges at the Entrepreneur Business Pitch Contest where they surpassed all expectations. 1st Place - Saniya Powell; 2nd Place - Khalini Smith and Mit'Lasia Martin; 3rd Place - Christian Harvey and Kharee Johnson; 4th Place - Anna Dixon and Courtney Manning; and 5th Place - Mario Hardmon.

Southside Elementary 4-H clubs held their meetings and learned about Earth Day. Art for All delivered a special presentation instructing them on art expression and diverse painting techniques by painting a replica of Earth.

Henderson Project 4-H Community Club held its year-end meeting highlighted by a slime-making demonstration presented by Arione N. The club participated in Love the Boot...Keep Louisiana Beautiful! - a statewide litter removal and beautification effort. They planted flowers with club leader guidance on flower selection, planting arrangements, watering importance, and proper planting techniques.

In collaboration with Progressive Ag Safety Day, the East Carroll LSU AgCenter provided safety education to all 5th grade students in East Carroll Parish. Students engaged in interactive presentations from professionals representing Louisiana State Police (seatbelt safety), Army Corps of Engineers (water safety), Farm Bureau (ATV safety), East Carroll Parish Sheriff's Department (drug and firearm safety), East Carroll Parish Fire Department (fire safety), East Carroll Ambulance Service (emergency safety), Operation Lifesaver (railroad safety), NELPCO (electrical safety), and Viserion Grain (grain safety).
