The 4-H junior leader experience is designed to provide members with the opportunity to learn about the qualities and competencies needed to be a leader. Junior leaders provide assistance with 4-H events and assume more challenging leadership roles. Our Junior Leader program is a great place to experience new things, complete service-learning projects, meet new friends, travel, and learn the leadership skills necessary in the world. Combating Hunger & Poverty in Louisiana is our state and parish service-learning focus for the 2024-2025 year. Opportunities will be offered for you to participate in our statewide focus. Let’s all make a difference in our community and state.

The Regional Leader Forum will be held September 16th from 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the River of Life Church in Winnsboro. This year’s theme is Soaring to the Top with NE Louisiana 4-H. Youth and adults are welcome to attend. Lunch will be provided, and door prizes will be available.
Help celebrate our 4-H program during National 4-H Week: October 6th-12th. Be creative, be innovative, and do what you can to make a positive difference in your school and community. Show your pride by sponsoring school activities throughout the week and help get others to share enthusiasm.
Promote Breast Cancer Awareness
Prizes will be awarded for the following: most original, most unusual, funniest, scariest, and 4-H.
Send in your most creative ideas for a slogan in seven words or less. Illustrations must accompany the phrase and will be part of the contest. Contest is open to all 4-H club members. Winning slogan will be one that is brief and “catchy,” capturing the spirit of 4-H Camp Grant Walker.
4-H is a positive youth development organization delivered through the LSU AgCenter. In 4-H, members complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture, and citizenship in a positive environment where they can receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Join 4-H today! The club with the highest percentage of enrollment will win an ice cream or cupcake party. The deadline to register is Friday, November 1st.

The Louisiana 4-H Record Book Contest is a traditional event where members choose a project area, develop skills, and document their growth. East Carroll Parish 4-H will host its annual competition with top entries advancing to the state level. The deadline is April 4, 2025. All entries will be recognized at Awards Day.
