During the 2020 Louisiana 4-H Fashion Camp, 4-H’ers made walker/wheelchair caddies as a service project. Louisiana Strawberries - $22/flat
Sales will help defray costs of 4-H’ers attending 4-H Summer Camp and 4-H University this summer. Orders and payment are due to the 4-H Office by Monday, March 9. Strawberries will be delivered to the 4-H Office and must be picked up as follows: Thursday, March 19 between 2 p.m and 5 p.m. Make checks payable to East Carroll 4-H. Thanks for supporting the 4-H program!
The 4-H Beef Poster Contest is open to all 4th-12th grade 4-H’ers. Deadline for submission is March 27. Only one entry per category! Your poster must be on 22 inches by 28 inches white poster board only. Do not attach anything to the poster that is more than ½ inch thick. All entries must be properly tagged with a label. See your 4-H leader or Mrs. Powell to get a label. Important: Do not use commercial brand names or products on the poster; do not portray negative images of other food products such as pork, chicken, turkey, etc.; and, do not use jingles, slogans, signs or pictures that are trademark or copyright protected.
Division 1 – 4th, 5th & 6th grades; Division 2 – 7th & 8th grades; Division 3 – 9th-12th grades. First place winners will receive a rosette ribbon and $10. All entries will receive participation ribbons which will be awarded at 4-H club meetings.

A club member may win this award only one time. The purpose of this award is to encourage project growth and to recognize a broad program of 4-H club members who have shown outstanding leadership ability in their club and parish.
The 4-H Golden Clover Award is for Junior 4-H members. A club member may win this award only one time.
The speech contest is a public speaking competition. The speech contest and the science fair are open to all East Carroll 4-H’ers in grades 4-12.
When: Thursday, April 16 at 4 p.m. (check-in begins at 3:30)

Rules:
4-H members who were 13 years of age before January 1 are eligible to attend 4-H University. 4-H’ers can experience an exciting week on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge. This event will give students the opportunity to compete in contests, explore the LSU campus and visit academic departments. 4-H U will be held June 21-24. A deposit of $50 is due by May 1.
