Save the Date for 4-H University

Each year 4-H'ers 8th-12th grades are eligible to attend 4-H University on the Baton Rouge campus of LSU and A&M College to demonstrate their skills in more than 40 competitive events, workshops, and educational sessions. It is a culmination of a 4-H member’s year of hard work and dedication. 4-H University provides youth with the opportunity to meet other members from across the state and compete for trips and prizes. Events range from agricultural use demonstration, automotive care, fishing sports, computer simulation, public speaking, fashion, and more! Through competing, youth demonstrate life skills in teamwork, decision making, problem solving, resiliency, and much more. Each competitive event provides youth with an opportunity for personal growth, skill mastery, as well as other life skills vital to becoming productive members of society.
