Ouachita 4-H Sketch Contest, due December 2 at 704 Cypress St., West Monroe. The winner will receive $20 & poster will be framed & displayed at the Ouachita 4-H office!
Monday, November 18. Check in: 5:15-5:30 pm. Awards Begin: 7 pm. Members bring a prepared dish on ice, & garnish, to be judged for prizes!
Dish Categories: Chicken, Corn, Egg, Heart Healthy Ground Beef, Pecan, Quick-N-Easy Ground Beef, Rice Any Other, Rice Main Dish, & Sweet Potato.
Members can choose 1 category or all 9, but only 1 dish per category. 4-H’ers with winning dishes will compete against other parishes in the Northeast Region Cookery on February 6, 2025. 7th-12th graders: Join us as we decorate our Ouachita 4-H Christmas tree at West Monroe City Hall, 2305 N 7th St., West Monroe, November 21, 6-8 PM. Afterwards we will have a Thanksgiving Feast at Chick-fil-A!
Become a Ouachita 4-H King, Queen, Prince, or Princess by collecting votes (donations) from now until the deadline. The Krewe Court is presented at a coronation ceremony February 7 & will ride in the Krewe De Riviere Parade February 8. Learn about the world of animals & the Louisiana Wetlands Habitat! Meet the 4-H group at the front gate of the zoo (1405 Bernstein Park Drive, Monroe) on Monday, November 25, 9AM - 12PM.
Ouachita 4-H is collecting bags of red beans & bags of rice! Why red beans & rice? Because we want to provide a protein filled meal at the Simple Project! Those who are unhoused need protein to keep them strong & carbohydrates to keep them full! Please help us meet this need! Extra bags will go the NELA Food Bank. Due date is December 6 at 704 Cypress Street in West Monroe. Pick up can be scheduled for December 4-6. Winning club will receive a cocoa party!
4th-12th graders, join our afterschool Robotics Club using the Lego Spike Prime System. Learn coding, engineering, & compete with other teams! Parent & youth must sign waiver upon arrival.
