4-H Portfolios/Record Books

Record keeping is an important part of every 4-H educational project, & it’s a critical skill that will help students for a lifetime!

The 4-H Portfolio - Many awards, educational trips, & college scholarships are given to club members on the basis of their records & project work. Records show your 4-H club work progress, such as leadership accomplishments, citizenship/community service involvement, awards & recognition, etc.

The 4-H Project Record Sheet - The project record sheet helps members track, record, & reflect on their specific projects. It is used to document various project work, such as: livestock, photography, outdoor skills/shooting sports, foods/nutrition, leadership, communications, etc.

Timeline - Completed Portfolios/Record Sheets will be due to Ouachita Parish 4-H around early July each year. Selected Portfolios will be sent to the State Records Contest around early August. Results from the State Contest are available early September.
