(04/24/19) BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU AgCenter and East Baton Rouge Parish Master Gardeners will host the first-ever Children’s Garden Festival Saturday, May 4, at the AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden.

The event will be from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Admission is $10 per vehicle.

“We will have 11 booths spread out throughout the garden doing hands-on activities with kids,” said AgCenter horticulturist Kiki Fontenot.

Visitors will be able to make bird feeders, plant flowers, smell herbs, make art using vegetables, learn about snakes and pollinators in the garden, and see how worms help with composting.
