(05/04/18) BATON ROUGE, La. — More than 1,000 youth participated in the 2018 Louisiana Beef Industry Council 4-H/FFA State Beef Poster Contest. The contest encourages participates to learn more about the beef industry, beef production and nutrition.
The contest theme was Beef: It’s what’s for dinner.
The Louisiana Beef Industry Council sponsored awards for the contest. First-place winners in each of the three divisions received $200; second place received $100; and third place received $50.
The 2018 state winners are:
Division I (fourth to sixth grades):
1st Place – Luke Natali, Jefferson Davis Parish.
2nd Place – Emery Bell Odom, Morehouse Parish.
3rd Place – Allena LeBlanc, Acadia Parish.
Division II (seventh to ninth grades):
1st Place – Kylie Cliburn, Ascension Parish.
2nd Place – Emilee Sanders, Catahoula Parish.
3rd Place – Seth Mitchell, Lafourche Parish.
Division III (10th to 12th grades):
1st Place – Paige Zeringue, Ascension Parish.
2nd Place – Madison Waldron, Bossier Parish.
3rd Place – Avery Paul, Catahoula Parish.
