(05/01/18) BATON ROUGE, La. — Growing trends in the food industry will be featured at the 2018 Louisiana Food Processors Conference on June 5-6 in Baton Rouge.
Several presentations will focus on changes in the retail food products industry and the latest food trends. Others will address consumer preferences and developing new businesses.
A major purpose of this conference is to provide information about the growth of small food businesses, consumer preferences for local sources and the logistics of the supply chain for small to medium-sized companies.
The conference is intended for anyone with an interest and stake in the future of the Louisiana food processing industry, including people involved in food processing, food processing support industries and state and federal regulatory agencies as well as entrepreneurs who may be considering a business in food processing.
Conference sponsors include the LSU AgCenter, the Louisiana Food Processors Association and the food processing industry and allied supporters.
