LaHouse fall Saturday Open House set for Oct. 28

(10/23/17) BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU AgCenter LaHouse Home and Landscape Resource Center will host a next seasonal Saturday Open House on Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The fall event will highlight healthy home and universal design solutions as well as many other energy-efficient and resilient home features, cut-aways, videos, free publications, an exhibit room and more. Experts will be on hand to answer questions.

Visitors can see examples of features that reduce mold, dust mites, lead and other common pollutants in homes. They also can experience “design for life” features that create a convenient home for all ages and stages of the life cycle with safe, functional, accessible and adaptable home design and furnishings.

LaHouse is open for self-guided tours Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but opens its doors one Saturday each season to accommodate those who cannot visit during regular business hours or who want to speak with LSU AgCenter housing experts.

LaHouse is located at 2858 Gourrier Avenue in Baton Rouge directly across from LSU Alex Box Baseball Stadium.

LaHouse is an educational public service of the LSU AgCenter.

A suggested donation of $5 per adult is requested to help support LaHouse educational exhibits and operations.
