(10/06/17) BATON ROUGE, La. — The Children’s Garden at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden will conduct a program on how to raise backyard chickens and how they can help gardens on Nov. 4 from 9-11 a.m.
The Children’s Garden Series will feature hands-on activities for 6-to-12-year-olds, said AgCenter fruit and vegetable specialist Kiki Fontenot.
Participants will receive snacks and garden take-home crafts. Attendance is limited to 20 children.
A $15 fee is required for each child, and reservations are required in advance by email to Angie Wall at firstname.lastname@example.org. Parents or guardians are required to stay with children during the event.
The LSU AgCenter Children’s Garden Series is hosted by the East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners. The Botanic Gardens at Burden is located off Interstate 10 at 4560 Essen Lane in Baton Rouge.
