(09/25/17) BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden will host Couture de la Fleur, a live floral fashion show on Oct. 11 from 8:30-10 p.m.
Produced by the College of Agriculture School of Textiles, Apparel Design and Merchandising in concert with Mendel University of the Czech Republic, the program will feature fashions designed with fresh flowers.
Students, faculty, florists and others will work together to create one-of-a-kind pieces that will be displayed on a fashion runway.
After the show, the audience is invited to get a closer look at the fashions and meet the models, designers and creators. Wine and dessert will be served.
Sponsors include Billy Heroman’s Flowerland, Pat Alford and Benny’s Car Wash Inc., Annette Barton and Malcom Tucker, Bobby Durr and Tiger Canopy Rentals, Heirloom Cuisine LLC and the Milton J. Womack Foundation.

The event will be held in conjunction with Wine and Roses, a fundraising dinner sponsored by the AgCenter and the Friends of the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden. Tickets for Wine and Roses, which includes the fashion show, are available for $125 by calling 225-763-3990 ext. 6.
