Fussell to lead LSU agriculture development team

(01/25/17) BATON ROUGE, La. – Lindsey Fussell has been named the senior director of development for the LSU AgCenter and LSU College of Agriculture. She has served as a director of development with the AgCenter and College of Agriculture for the past three years.

In this role, Fussell will lead the development team in securing financial support for agriculture teaching, research and extension missions.

“I look forward to leading the development team in engaging our alumni and donors in a way that will align the missions of both the LSU College of Agriculture and LSU AgCenter with their own philanthropic passions,” Fussell said.

Fussell is an alumna of LSU, where she received a bachelor’s degree in mass communication. Prior to joining the AgCenter and College of Agriculture development team, she worked in sales, event planning and management for Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group.

“Working at LSU is really like coming home,” Fussell said. “LSU is a place that gets in your blood and stays there. I’m blessed to be able to be a part of continuing to make LSU such an extraordinary place.”

Fussell said she has enjoyed working with the Louisiana agriculture community and is excited to oversee philanthropic giving for agriculture.

“We have the most amazing constituency. They are unique, diverse and incredibly passionate,” she said. “Our donors who are investing in the College of Agriculture and the AgCenter are changing lives and building a stronger future for agriculture not only in our state, but globally.
