Conservation program workshop set for Jan. 25 in West Monroe

(01/12/17) BATON ROUGE, La. – A workshop will be held Jan. 25 in West Monroe to provide information about a federal program that promotes sustainability while helping landowners increase productivity.

The LSU AgCenter, U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service and Louisiana Delta Adventures are sponsoring the event.

Speakers will give details on the NRCS Conservation Stewardship Program, including eligibility, the application process and land enhancements the program can facilitate. There also will be a question and answer session.

The workshop will take place in the Ouachita Room of the West Monroe Convention Center, 901 Ridge Ave. Presentations will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a break for a provided lunch.
