(08/22/16) CHASE, La. – The LSU AgCenter will hold a field day for middle and high school students on Sept. 28 at the Sweet Potato Research Station in Chase.
Students who attend the field day will hear from AgCenter agents and researchers about career opportunities in agriculture, crop production and AgCenter research projects. They will also tour the research station grounds to get an up-close look at bee and sweet potato production and hear presentations on nutrition and food sciences.
The field day will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end with a provided brown bag lunch.
Groups must register to attend the event, which is open to students in seventh to 12th grades in the Northeast region. Only 25 students per parish may attend.
