(07/07/16) CHASE, La. – The LSU AgCenter will hold a field day for sweet potato farmers on Aug. 31 at the AgCenter Sweet Potato Research Station.

Registration will be at 8 a.m., with the program beginning at 8:45 a.m.

Topics will include weed management, nematode control, insect problems, feral hog control, breeding for early maturity, worker protection regulations and the foundation seed program.

A variety of field equipment will be shown, along with the demonstration of an irrigation surge valve.

The station is located on La. Highway 15 south of Winnsboro.
