4-Her's from the Central Region will be cooking some delectable dishes using Louisiana commodities on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the State Evacuation Shelter located on Highway 71 South right past LSUA. The contest check-in begins at 12 noon. Competitors will have entries in Seafood, Beef, Poultry, Pecan, Sweet Potato, Egg, Rice, & Healthy Lunch Bento categories. Participating parishes are:

Dishes range from appetizer/salad, main dish, candy, and dessert. At this event, 4-Her's and parents also engage in Healthy Living Education stations while dishes are being judged.
