4-H Online EnrollmentDues are $7.00 if joining as a Member-at-large through the 4-H Office. If joining through a school club, please check with 4-H Leader on the dues amount.
Dues can be paid online or mailed/dropped off at the 4-H Office at 1065 Highway 749, Suite A, Opelousas, LA, 70570.
If submitting a check or money order, please print 4-H Online enrollment invoice and submit with payment. Checks and/or money orders can be made payable to St. Landry 4-H.
We are an active group offering Citizenship, Healthy Living and SET (Science, Engineering and Technology) programming to youth in grades 4th-12th.Monthly club meetings are conducted by officers of your club. Each member receives The 4-H Chatterbox newsletter which describes the contests and activities to which you are invited to participate.4-H Agents present an educational program during the club meetings. By participating in 4-H, you can have fun, meet new friends, and go places.
4-H’ers and parents can stay informed through the monthly 4-H Chatterbox newsletter as well as our St. Landry 4-H Facebook page and St. Landry LSU AgCenter Webpage. Please go and like our Facebook page if you haven’t already done so.

Each club should have officers decided upon by the October or at latest November Meeting. Suggested officers are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Reporter. An installation program will be conducted by your 4-H Club Leader or Agent.
This event will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Ag Arena in Opelousas (Behind the Yambilee Building on Hwy. 190). Registration begins at 4:00 P.M. and Contest Judging begins at 4:30 P.M.

St. Landry Parish 4-H follows two show programs, the LSU State Show & the Southern University Livestock Show. Possession dates (date you acquire the animal at your home) are listed below:
The first meeting will be Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Extension Office. A business meeting and fun get acquainted activities will be conducted. Junior Leader Club is open to 7th-12th grade 4-H members only. Submit the online enrollment form, located below, and $15.00 membership fee to enroll. Fees are due by November 1, 2025 to remain on mailing list.

Celebrate National 4-H Week.4-H is 117 years old in Louisiana! Theme: “4-H - The Future is in Your Hands”. Suggested activities for the week are poster contests, green & white day, teacher appreciation, paint the school green, community service project. 4-H clubs that conduct at least 5 activities will be recognized with a Silver Tray Award.
St. Landry Parish 4-H will also host different daily themed activities during the week on our St. Landry 4-H Facebook page.4-H’ers will be able to post a photo each day as they participate.4-H’ers that participate each day will receive a 4-H surprise.
If you would like to join this gardening project club, register below. Space limited to the first (50) 4-H’ers. A packet of seeds and gardening newsletter will be mailed to registered 4-H’ers monthly.
Seed of the Month Registration
Participation in this Outdoor Skills Program is not limited by skill or physical abilities and is open to youth in 4th-12th grade. Disciplines offered are Shotgun and Archery and are dependent on instructor availability. An virtual Microsoft Teams informational meeting about the program will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 4:30 - 5:30 PM.
To sign up for the Shooting Sports Club you will need to log into your 4-H Online account. Registration will be through 4-H Online under events – 2025-2026 St. Landry Parish 4-H Shooting Sports Club. The registration fee is $25.00 and can be paid online if you choose. If you don’t pay online, checks or money order need to be made payable to St. Landry 4-H and mailed to the St. Landry 4-H Office no later than Friday, October 31, 2025. In the check memo line please identify the child’s name.
Learn all about ROBOTICS in this fun STEM workshop which is open to 4th-6th grade 4-H'ers! The workshop will be held at the St. Landry 4-H Office on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. It is limited to the first (20) 4-H'ers that register. Register for this workshop through your 4-H Online account under event registration – 2025 St. Landry 4-H Robotics Workshop.
Registration fee is $15.00 and can be paid online when you register, if you choose. If you don’t pay online, check or money order need to be made payable to St. Landry 4-H and mailed to the St. Landry 4-H Office no later than Friday, October 3, 2025.
