The LSU AgCenter will hold a meeting for strawberry growers from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Monday, August 10, 2026, at the LSU AgCenter’s Hammond Research Station (21549 Old Covington Hwy., Hammond).
Attendees will learn about weed management in strawberries, results of a local variety trial, and updates from the Neopestalotiopsis disease detection and management project. Speakers will include Dr. Colton Blankenship, Mr. Clark Roberston, and Dr. Mary Helen Ferguson of the LSU AgCenter; Ms. Cian Butler and Ms. Indira Poudel of the LSU Department of Plant Pathology and Crop Physiology (representing Drs. Raj Singh and Chien-Yu Huang, respectively); and Dr. Congliang Zhou of the LSU School of Plant, Environmental, and Soil Sciences.
