LSU AgCenter Offers Gardening Classes in Washington Parish

(News release for August 21, 2023)

Are you interested in learning more about gardening? The LSU AgCenter is offering five classes covering a variety of garden- and landscape-related topics.

Class topics are as follows: vegetables on August 29, fruits on September 12, ornamental landscape plants on September 26, soil and fertilizers on October 10, and pest management (including diseases, insects, and weeds) on October 24. Classes will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at LSU AgCenter’s Washington Parish office (1104-B Bene St., Franklinton).

Classes are offered free of charge, but pre-registration is requested. To pre-register or for more information, please contact Horticulture Agent Dr. Mary Helen Ferguson. For accommodations for persons with disabilities, please contact Mary Helen at least one week before the class of interest.
