Our Junior Leadership club is open to all 4-H members in grades 7 through 12. This program focuses on the development of leadership skills, as well as service learning, and fellowship. Our club meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month, but please keep in mind that this may change due to other 4-H activities.

Members of the Junior Leadership Club assist with local club activities, 4-H projects, and parish events. An example of events that you would help with are workshops, fishing clinic, trash bash, the family food drive, and Junior Leadership Conference.

Our Junior Leader Club does have a reward trip at the end of the year as a thank you for all your hard work throughout the year. In order to qualify for the trip you must meet the following requirements to participate. If you do not meet these requirements you will not qualify for the trip.

1. Fundraising: All fundraisers offered are required to qualify.

2. Mandatory Activities: You must participate in the National 4-H Week: This a poster display in a public place, radio announcement, or Facebook post done with Mrs. Kim. You must also participate in Achievement Day: Date will be announced later. You must come and help at this activity.

3. Volunteering: 15 hours required. Activities will be announced at the Junior Leader Meeting each month.

4. Work: Points accumulate monthly. There are activities, workshops and work opportunities held monthly that rely on Junior Leaders to happen. Each of these that a Junior Leader signs up for and works will award them points. Please keep in mind that you must help at these events; these events are not to just hang out with your friends. If you are not helping you will be asked to leave and will not get credit for that particular activity.

5. Meetings: There are 9 meetings a year. You are required to come to these. If you can not attend it if your responsibility to call the office and let either Mrs. Maggie, Mrs. Kim or Mrs. Madison know. You will only be excused for a legitimate reason.

If you are asked to leave an event, club meeting or junior leader meeting due to behavior, attitude, or not helping you will be disqualified from the trip. This is a leadership group and you must show leadership skills, we would like our 4-H’ers to look to you!
