The public is invited to attend the Assumption Parish Livestock Show on January 28th at the parish livestock facility beginning at 9:30 a.m. There is no entry fee for the public and concessions will be sold.
Come out and support the youth in Assumption Parish by attending this 4-H sponsored event.
Dairy Posters are due January 13, 2023, to the 4-H Office.
The purpose of the Dairy Poster Contest is to: Learn more about milk and milk products and their importance
to healthy bodies; Demonstrate communication skills by drawing a billboard encouraging or promoting the consumption of milk and/or milk products; Share knowledge with others.
I pledge my HEAD to clearer thinking,
My HEART to greater loyalty,
My HANDS to larger service,
And my HEALTH to better living.
For my club, my community, my country, and my world.
Duct tape items are due January 20, 2023.
Duct Tape is awesome! We want you to show off your creativity, skills, and love for the stickiest stuff on
earth. Make your most original, interesting, unusual, or practical item completely out of duct tape.
Public Speaking & Demonstration
Not a fan of public speaking, no matter the audience? Chances are you have already faced a public speaking situation – a speech at school, a 4-H club demonstration, a job or project interview, or even just sharing your opinion in front of a group of your friends. Did the experience send you running scared, or did you face the experience head-on? The truth is you WILL continue experiencing public speaking situations throughout your life. Therefore, it is important to remember these things:
Members will get a “toolbox list” at club meetings that will help them become more comfortable when speaking in a group. They will also get to practice their speaking skills in small groups.
